My stay at the Happy Dragon Courtyard was a good experience, marked by a fantastic location and excellent service. I loved being in the heart of a beautiful Hutong, so I could really soak up the local vibes. The only downside was that while the breakfast was decent, I felt there could be more variety. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for a wallet-friendly, charming experience in Beijing.

Rooms

I stayed in a quadruple room which was spacious and cozy, equipped with all the basics. The decor had a lovely traditional vibe, but the bathroom setup was a bit unusual with the shower layout. Overall, it was a step up from many places I've seen.

My stay at Happy Dragon Courtyard was fantastic, thanks to the welcoming staff and the prime location. The rooms, while basic, were clean and offered a comfortable atmosphere. The only downside was that the hotel, like many in Beijing, didn't have a parking space, but I didn't need a car anyway. Overall, I would rate my experience a solid 10 out of 10.

I had a nice stay at Happy Dragon Courtyard, with its charming atmosphere and friendly staff being the highlights. The location is excellent, nestled in a traditional hutong close to the Lama Temple and several shops and restaurants. However, I found the dining options to be somewhat limited and breakfast was not as enjoyable as I hoped. Overall, a pleasant experience despite a few drawbacks.

7.4/10

I recently stayed at the Happy Dragon Courtyard for 5 nights, and while the location in a charming hutong was great for exploring Beijing, my overall experience was mixed. The staff were wonderfully attentive, going above and beyond to assist with everything from directions to local snacks. However, the facilities did lack some modern comfort, especially regarding room conditions, and the breakfast situation was less than ideal.

The location is perfect for immersing in local life, close to the bustling area of Yonghegong, but expect some noise and crowds.

Breakfast wasn’t great; I suggest considering nearby cafes for a more fulfilling meal. The snacks provided were much better alternatives.

Facilities are basic, lacking some usual amenities like a functional heat system and cooking. While clean, things could definitely use an upgrade.
